Is this the Harden Vol 4?
We could be looking at the Harden Vol 4. While there are no official announcement from adidas and considering that it's too early to this, it looks like that these images are pointing towards that direction. If this is indeed the Harden Vol 4, then it looks nice and in fact a somewhat breath of fresh air, as it has a different cushion setup. The past Harden signature shoes feature a Boost foam for cushioning. This time around, Lightstrike can be seen here. The Lightstrike was first used for basketball performance on the adidas NXT L3V3L shoe. Another feature that separated from the other adidas basketball performance models is that it doesn't have any laces on it. Just a very high-cut shoe with textile layers and foam placed inside the shoe's build to promote a snug fit.
Going back to this rumored "Harden Vol 4", the materials are a combination of mesh and leather which gives durability on key areas. It also adds a premium look. On the laces, there are extra eyelets to give the wearer a custom fit. You can also see a small tag there on the side that reads Vol 4. Again assuming this is the Vol 4, I think it's okay to be there. It looks like Harden's logo is on the heel area at the back. And of course, let's not forget about the full-length Lightstrike foam used for cushioning. From this angle, we can't really tell the traction pattern but these colorways here feature solid rubber.
There are no official word yet from adidas so I guess we'll hold any more commentaries with this shoe. But what do you think? Could this be the Harden Vol 4? Are you okay with the use of new cushioning material? Share your thoughts below the comment section.
