Best Foot Forward: Nike Dual Fusion BB

Welcome to the first look segment of Analykix dubbed as "Best Foot Forward". This segment will give out first-look musings on basketball shoes, somewhat like an unboxing. Several details about the shoes that can immediately be described will be discussed here. Call this a pre-review review if you will. This will serve as a preview of which shoe reviews will be featured here in Analykix in the future.

Let's start this feature off with our first shoe, the Nike Dual Fusion BB.

This pair was bought on sale from Planet Sports last December. This shoes is regularly priced at Php4295.

Nike Dual Fusion BB - Men's

First Impressions: 

I wasn't really planning on buying a shoe when I saw this on sale at Planet Sports last December. The price was surprisingly good (below Php3000 for the last few pairs of this colorway; not bad for an entry-level shoe). I always see this pair in other shoe stores, but people usually don't pay much attention to it. People are always heading towards the LeBrons, Kobes, and Jordans, but I thought this shoe had potential. Good thing they had it in my size. I thought I'd give it a go and review it because this just might be a good shoe that everybody's missing on. Guys, not all that glitters is gold. Some things that don't glitter are actually gold.

Anyway.

It has a pretty simple blue-and-white colorway, with a bright orange Nike swoosh. It's really not a fussy-looking shoe. One of the shoes in the pair I got was teeny-tiny bit dusty from storage, but overall it was very clean and bright white. It looks like a Hyperfuse model, although it's really not because the material used in the shoe was leather. Pressing the sole of the shoe gave me an idea of how the cushioning would be: a phylon midsole that wasn't dense. I wanted to see how that type of cushioning would feel during play.
