Nike Kobe 9 EM "Philippines"
We all know that basketball is very popular here in the Philippines. Whether having a "pinoy" theme in your baranggay league jersey to show your admiration and support for Smart Gilas who will be playing at the Fiba World Cup in Spain or having statement shirts to showcase our Filipino pride, bottom line is we all want to show our love for the game in our own way.
With the sneaker culture continuously growing here in the Philippines, Nike is giving us a treat by releasing a colorway that is sure to catch pinoy ballers and sneakerheads out there with the Nike Kobe 9 EM "Philippines". The good thing with the upper material being engineered mesh is that there a ton of possibilities for colorways which we saw in the Kobe 8. In this particular model, a Philippine inspired design was used which I personally I found great because making a design like this is a big step in terms of aesthetics and not just slapping a red, white, blue, and yellow color in there. Another thing that caught my attention is the translucent outsole where we can see a "tsinelas" print in there. As we all know, there are a lot of courts in the streets here and most of the pinoys play in tsinelas or flip flops as some would call it which is another way of representing how pinoys love basketball here in the Philippines.
You can get these at Titan for Php 8495. However, I think these are in limited quantities only so you might want to hurry and email them if you want secure a pair.
