Converse goes green with the Renew Initiative

Various brands are showing concern to the environment and for Converse, it's the "Renew Initiative". Under this program, Converse are using used plastic bottles, recycling them into materials that can be turned into textile that feels like a normal textile canvas that the brand has been known. According to them the "recycled upper" feels just like their upper so we know that it could be durable as well. Converse All-Stars, Chuck 70s are known for their raw look and very durable. Aside from that, they will be using used denim lifted from landfills and by next year, they will be exploring  "renewed cotton" which in turn will be spun into a yarn. The images looks like they are indeed heading the right direction and the good news is they will start rolling these out on July 5 with the denim uppers scheduled to release in August.
