Chinese New Year is also one of those holidays that NBA players can strut their kicks especially when those kicks are signature shoe just because brands usually deck out these signature models for more marketing push. And with the Chinese New Year coming in just a number of days, Under Armour made a CNY colorway of the Curry 7 even though he is not playing (of course there could be other athletes in the NBA who can still rock them on court this season). The most obvious thing in this year's CNY colorway of the Curry 7 is that the color blocking kinda took a step back from the usual red color that is usually used. And while this could be a not so popular more, this would make the shoe stand out assuming that most brands will deck their CNY-themed kicks in red or jade which is kinda a smart move too. The gold accent on the support plate is very obvious so this breaks the monotonous grey shade found on the upper. Also there's a graphic design of a flower found on the heel area which is subtle. So all in all, I can say that the Curry 7 CNY colorway is somewhat unique and could separate itself from the rest if the other brands decided to just use that usual red palette this year.
