Best Foot Forward: World Balance Normandy

As we are entering in this phase called the "new normal", many people are trying to get some normalcy in this trying times. Of course, we will all adapt eventually and hopefully still healthy and free from the virus. Nowadays, more and more people are trying to go to physical office, so sooner or later, they will need some kicks that are comfy and still adhere to their budget. One of the brands out their that offers great kicks at a very affordable price is World Balance who is on their 40th year. Imagine that? Forty years in the industry, that's a milestone. And not only that, they are still growing and on par with the trend especially when it comes to aesthetics.

I seldom go out nowadays, mostly just for errands and I try to accomplish them within the day so I won't have to go outside the next day. I was at the mall recently and saw the World Balance store in Trinoma and tried to check them out. I saw this shoe called the Normandy, which is a lifestyle shoe. Since basketball is not allowed because it is a contact sport, I decided to review a lifestyle shoe for the meantime, just trying to help out by giving you some options out there if you are looking for a shoe that you can wear when going out whether for work or errands like I did without spending too much. Personally, the aesthetics is what made me decide to cop the shoe. That denim upper material gives off a raw look and very versatile. This looks good with a pair of denim pants or even some shorts. There are some leather pieces found on the toe area as well as on the ankle collar to add some layers to it. It has a minimalist construction, vulcanized midsole with no traditional foam midsole so you are closer to the ground. For comfort, there is a Bounce Pad insole for some step-in comfort. In case you didn't know yet. The Bounce Pad Insole System is being used in World Balance's lifestyle and training shoes. Below is a rubber outsole and I think it should hold for a good amount of time since it is durable.
