BEST FOOT FORWARD: World Balance X Secret Fresh Invictus B69

 

For today's Best Foot Forward video, I will be reviewing the upcoming shoe collab between World Balance and Secret Fresh, the World Balance Invictus B69. This shoe is schedule to drop this September 18 at Secret Fresh as well as World Balance's webstore. They are doing pre-order as of the moment since this drop is only limited to 999 pairs. This shoe really caught me off guard because I am really looking forward for the Climax which Bigboy Cheng teased us a month ago. But after thinking about it, this step is really a no-brainer since Bigboy love World Balance's Invictus silhouette. The look is very modern, the panels are great for different color schemes, not to mention you can incorporate patent leather in the upper material. As for tech specs, even when I first reviewed the shoe last year, it is really comfortable. Sure it is EVA foam but the way they implemented this injected-molded EVA foam makes the shoe an option to wear throughout the day. Of course, the Bounce Pad Insole System also gives that step-in comfort. Personally, I like the Invictus that I have 3 other pairs aside from this one in different colorways. That's how I like the shoe.

With regards to this particular collab, they are calling it B69. I still think that B, stands for Bigboy and the 69 is the highest grade that he use in his vlogs whenever he do food reviews. As for the color palette, it is predominantly in grey even the mesh upper has a grey tone which I like since I am not fond of white-based kicks. There are hits of red, black, yellow-orange shades in the shoe with the most obvious design feature is the patent leather on the midfoot area having a camo-pattern to it. This is best part of the shoe designwise in my opinion because most camo patterns when used in a shoe appear to be muted but since they placed it on the patent leather, it has a nice pop to it. There are some collab brandings that you can find on the tongue as well as on the insole of the shoe. And don't forget, since this is a Secret Fresh collab, it also has the hangtag of their "heart sperm", a logo of their shop that they used back in the day.
