BEST FOOT FORWARD: World Balance x Secret Fresh I-Sperm Climax

 

World Balance third collaboration with Secret Fresh is now available. Dubbed as the I-Sperm Climax, there are 3 colorways that are available now exclusively at Secret Fresh gallery and World Balance webstore. I was lucky enough to be sent some pairs so thank you very much World Balance for the nice gesture. So there you go. Personally, I really like the yellow colorway more. Even when I first saw them when Bigboy Cheng teased them on his IG account, it was really eye-catching and I told myself, I would cop that shoe specifically that colorway no matter what. But seeing the other colorway which is the white/beige, it was really nice seeing that they made also that colorway which is very memorable to me. 

There are story-telling elements which you can find on the shoe. The obvious one is the logo which is the heart sperm, Secret Fresh's logo back in the day when he had his first store in Quezon City. Also depending on the colorway, you will get the 1976 or 1980 written on the ankle collar at the heel. These years are very significant and knowing Bigboy Cheng's background as a sneaker collector enthusiast, I am pretty sure he used his wide knowledge and experience on the proper placements on these things to make it appealing. Also, let's not forget the Heart Sperm hangtag on the shoe. It signifies the collab between World Balance and Secret Fresh, giving it also an exclusive feel, perfect for every sneakerheads/sneaker enthusiast.  

World Balance made some subtle but impactful changes particularly in the cushioning department. Seeing a more upgraded Bounce Pad Insole System (which I would like to dub as Bounce Pad+) added another layer of impact protection. Although the I-Sperm is not a performance shoe, they still upgraded the comfort of the shoe which I really appreciate because when I rock sneakers especially during my errands or in my job, I do a lot of standing and/or walking so that would be very beneficial to me.

As for the colorways, 3 colorways are available and while the black would be a go-to for me, I would say that these 2 colorways are fine with me. The shoe's main build is made from canvas so it has that very raw look and having some dirt or scuff on it just adds another depth on the shoe if you ask me. The shoe retails for Php 2,399 which was available for pre-order at the World Balance website, or you can go to Secret Fresh Gallery and who knows, you might even meet DJ Bigboy Cheng.
