adidas Stan Smith "Clean Classics"

 

Aside from the adidas x Parley collaboration, the brand with 3 stripes continues to do their part in helping reduce waste with the "Clean Classics" collection. This eco-friendly collection taps 2 of their classic silhouettes namely the Superstar and the Stan Smith. I was able to see the Stan Smith "Clean Classics" in Sports Central at the SM North Towers. The build looks very similar to the normal version but this time 70% of the materials used in the build is made from recyclable materials which is pretty big. While the inscription on the shoe says it all, it is a big step in pushing the movement to help preserve our environment. As a matter of fact, adidas pledged to eliminate virgin polyester and plastics from all its designs by 2024.

Going back to shoe itself, you can see that it is still predominantly in white with green hits in the inscription, laces, insole and tongue design branding. The midsole/outsole is speckled which gives a distinct "recycled" look. You can grab a pair now at SM Sports Central for Php 4,800.
