#kixspotted adidas Originals Stan Smith "Primegreen"
adidas continues its push in limiting their carbon footprint by 2024. They have collaborated with Parley and now they expanded more to their adidas Originals line, particularly this timeless classic. This Stan Smith looks pretty much the same but with it utilized what they are calling "Primegreen" which are made from high-end recycled components to make the shoe's upper which is about 50%. They also say that they didn't use any virgin polyester. The shoe still looks very clean and simple. The most noticeable things design-wise is the brandings on the tongue as well as on the insole have some kind of "recycled" indications. Also, the heel tab at the back have that uncut or untrimmed look. They also made laces kinda plasticky which is a nice touch making you realize that you are indeed wearing a shoe made from recycled materials. In my opinion, this would be a good option for those who are doing their part in helping the environment by reducing waste. I just wish that adidas will continue to do this even more and expand to their different lines like performance shoes (basketball, football, etc). If you want to cop a pair, they retail for P4,800 and is available now at the adidas store in Trinoma.
