World Balance ST1 Black/Gold Launch Event and Review

 

I was fortunate enough to be invited by World Balance for their ST1 Black/Gold colorway special release event in Trinoma. Scottie fans get a chance to cop the ST1 a day earlier than the general release date and aside from that, get his autograph and have a quick photo with him. People wait patiently in line outside the mall entrance just to be sure so that they get the ticket stub to purchase a pair since the number of pairs that are going to be released that day is limited. As a matter of fact, I think the first guy in the line waited outside the mall entrance as early as 4:14 in the morning. Overall, the queuing was relatively organized as they wait for Scottie. When Scottie arrived, he wasted no time to meet the fans and started thanking them and the signing of autograph and quick photo taking begin. On a side note, I also met fellow creators Nars, Markches, Rye and Gav. Here is a short video that I made regarding the event.

The shoe release today, July 17, 2022 retailing for Php 3,499 which you can get at selected World Balance stores (NCR) and at on their webstore. 

The shoe's color blocking of black and gold really made me appreciate the shoe more since I always love black-based colorway and that combined with gold reminded me of my college team colorway. This is the colorway that Scottie wore most of the time inside the PBA Bubble as well as last conference when he played alongside Justin Brownlee. They were crown champions both conferences and even got the MVP award for the season which he was very thankful for. So this colorway is pretty special to him that's why he (together with World Balance) decided to release this colorway to share with the fans.
