#kixspotted Nike Air Deldon "Together We Fly"
It is very seldom that we get a WNBA player have a signature. So seeing this makes me hope that I hope brands get to appreciate them more. I have spotted this kicks from Nike which they call the nike Air Deldon which is basically Elena Delle Donne's signature shoe. She is playing for the Washington Mystics. I honestly don't get to watch a lot of WNBA games so I made some quick research about her and I found out that she is a great player, winning a championship at Washington, 2 MVP awards, and also a part of W25 which is WNBA's top 25 players of its 25 years in 2021. With those accolades, I think those are some of the reasons (and maybe among others) why Nike decided to give her a signature shoe.
For the shoe itself, it looks good. Actually it does carry that 90s shoe vibe due to its look and material makeup. The upper consist of leather with some textile materials and it looks like a sturdy shoe. The leather panels in the back part of the shoe is thick while the mid to front part of the shoe also looks durable enough in case you want to play them outdoors. There are straps on the ankle collar part which makes you have an easier access when wearing the shoe. There is a heel TPU cage for additional reinforcement and support at the back. Cushionwise, the shoe is no pushover, as it packs a punch in the comfort department as well. Full length air cushion (Air Strobel) with forefoot Zoom Air takes care of your feet underneath. We don't see this setup a lot from Nike and I think you should consider this if you are a person that favors cushion and responsiveness in a shoe. The outsole is thick enough to be used outdoors which is also a plus. I appreciate it when brands tend to give a lot of tech features (especially if it not just gimmicks) in a signature shoe, as it justifies the price of the shoe. Speaking of price, the shoe retails for Php 6,895 at Toby's Sports in SM North Edsa. You can check out the images that I took to see more of the design elements that were used.
