Anta is one of the official sponsors in this year’s FIBA World Cup. In fact, they were able to sign Jordan Clarkson as well just in time which led JC rocking some Anta kicks during the Gilas game against Dominican Republic. This only shows that Anta will further position itself in the Philippine sneaker market. With that said, I decided to check out the nearest Anta to me and found out that not only do they want to get a larger piece of the sneaker market here in the Philippines, but also in the running with their performance running shoe like this one, the Anta Mach 3.
Let’s start with the upper. Made with engineered mesh, it makes the shoe lightweight which is perfect for running particularly long distances without being fatigued. More threads can be found on high-wear areas or places where you need support and structure while some areas like in the midfoot where you can almost see through the inside of the shoe which you get maximum breathability. Another performance feature is their cushioning which is made from their NitroEdge foam. For more technical specifications, these are noted to have a 6mm drop. We have seen this in their basketball shoes and this would be very much needed in providing energy return. Underneath, we have Anta’s A-Grip Pro outsole with a TPU material which they call Extended Flash Plate for torsional stability.
