I've spotted Andrew Wiggins' second signature shoe with Peak during may last trip to the mall. There are 2 colorways present there and I am here to show them to you as well as the tech specs for the AW2. Andrew Wiggins shoe line have been a success due to its features. The various brandings of Peak and AW like his logo have always been highlighted in his shoes by having large logos or some story-telling elements incorporated in the shoe itself. Made from a synthetic build for the upper, this midtop silhouette still feels lightweight and I am pretty sure it is going to be a supportive shoe thanks to the lacing reinforcements, large heel counter, lateral cage made of TPU and a carbon fiber plate underneath which Peak calls Foothold. Also underfoot is Peaks 2 different cushion source particularly the Peak TaiChi and the P-Ultra Light. The P-Ultra Light is said to be lighter than the traditional midsole foams while the TaiChi foam is known to have a very resilient property. I have tried the Peak TaiChi foam and I am pretty curious how this specific 2-foam setup from Peak would perform. Lastly, depending on the colorway that you choose, you will either get a solid rubber or translucent rubber outsole. The rubber on both colorways that I saw looks pretty hard enough so I think it is just a matter of preference. But to be on the safe side, I would suggest that solid rubber is the way to go if you are playing on outdoor courts most of the time.
